CITY OF NOP.TH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83 - 134 <br />6Y. ? <br />AN ORDINAfJCE AUTHORIZING TFIE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />uJITH THE CONSULTING FIRM OF DALTON-DALTON-NEWPORT FOR THE <br />ENGIPlEERING AND CONSULTING SERVICES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO THE NORTH OLMSTED WASTEWATER TREATMEPJT PLANT <br />AND STANDBY ELECTRICAL POWER ACCORDING TO THE REVISED PROPOSAL <br />IN THE STEP 3 APPLICATION FOR THE fdORTH OLMSTED FACILITY PLAN, <br />AS AMENDED. <br />lafHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has encountered numerous <br />problems with respect to the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and <br />WHEREAS, the c;ity has prepared plans, specifications and <br />estimates of cost through a Facility Plan Step 2 grant, and <br />WIIEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to accept a federal <br />grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to improve the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant, and <br />6JHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to contract for the <br />specialized expertise to provide the consulting services for construction, <br />a n d <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council and the Administration <br />to hire the services of Dalton-Dalton-Newport to provide this service <br />at a cost not to exceed Nine Hundred Thirty-One Thousand Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($931,500.00) of which approximately seventy-five (75%) may be <br />reimbursed through the Step 3 grant from the U.S. Environmental <br />Protection Agency. <br />PJOW, TI-iEREFURE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTIOfd l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to <br />enter into <br />management <br />provided i <br />aqreement, <br />hereof and <br />an agreement with the firm <br />of the improvements to the <br />n the revised Facility Plan <br />a copy of said agreement i <br />marked "Cxhibit A". <br />of Dalton-Dalton-Newport for the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant as <br />Step 3 grant application and the <br />s attached hereto and made a part <br />SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />P A S S E D: <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
