CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE 83 - 127 <br />BY: DEAN McKa <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A NEW FUND, ADDING TO THE <br />FINANCIAL STRUCTURE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />A FUND KNOWN AS THE SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM FUND, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted currently conducts programs for the benefit <br />of Senior Citizens, and <br />WHEREAS, certain programs or parts of programs require that cash be maintained <br />on the premises of the Senior Citizen Center, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted believes a greater under- <br />standing of the financial position of the City can be achieved through the establish- <br />ment of one fund to account for all related transactions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That there is hereby created a Special Revenue Fund entitled the <br />"Senior Citizen Program Fund". <br />SECTION 2: That said fund will be funded with the proceeds of all grants, aids, <br />interest, fees, shared taxes, and transfers pertaining to Senior Citizen programs. <br />SECTION 3: That a petty cash fund in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars <br />(200.00) shall be maintained at the Senior Citizen Center by that person designated <br />to administer all related programs and under the direct control of the Director of <br />Finance. <br />SECTION 4: That the Director of Finance is authorized to pay out of said fund, <br />anounts of money in accordance with the provision of such grants, aids, contracts, <br />and shared taxes, and as designated by Council. <br />SECTION 5: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect, and be in force irimediately upon its passage and <br />approval of the Mayor. <br />SECTION 6: That upon passage of this Ordinance, the Clerk of Council is <br />instructed to forward certified copies to the Auditor of the State of Ohio, <br />Thomas Ferguson, and the Cuyahoga County Auditor, J.
