WHFRFAS, it is the desire of the Council to maintain safe vehicles for the -nassengers of the North Olmsted Municinal Bus Line, and, WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Municinal Bus Line is onerating under a contractual obli,ation to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit :Authoritv to maintain safe vehicles and to -orovide for con- tinuity of transportation services. . NOW, THERFFO?tE, RE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the rlorth Olmsted Municinal Bus Line is authorized to nurchase aDnroximately $36,000 in bus window banels and accessories from the General Alotors Cornoration, who is the sole supplier for these replacement nanels and further, said nurchase is necessary to preserve the safety of the ridership and continuity of service. SF,CTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measur'e immediately necessary for the preservation of the nublic health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that the aforesaid renairs will be made f_or the safe and continued oneration of the North Olmsted Municinal Bus Line and its contractual obligation with the Greater Clevelan3 Re,gional Transit Authority, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately u?oon its passage and annroval by the Mayor.
