MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE r'IAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH TEiE CITY OF <br />CLEVELAND FOR THE DETELJTION OF PRISONERS <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OL24STED, AND DE- <br />CLARIP7G AN EP4ERGENCY. <br />WI-IEREAS, the City of Cleveland has notified the Mayor <br />of the City of North Olmsted that upon execution of a contract <br />they will accept and lodge prisoners of the City of North Olmsted. <br />WHEREAS, the present contract with the City of Cleveland <br />will terminated effective March l, 1983. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olrnsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section ?. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into <br />a contract with the City of Cleveland for the confinement and <br />lodging of prisoners of the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2. That Ordinance No. 63-161 as previously <br />adopted on October l, 1968 is hereby repealed. <br />Section 3. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to <br />be an er.lergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public peace, safety, health and welfare of the City of North <br />Olrnsted by virtue of the fact that the present contract with <br />the City of Cleveland terminates effective March l, 1983 for <br />the lodging of prisoners of the City of Pdorth Olmsted. WHEREFORE, <br />this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force irLunediately <br />upon its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by <br />law. <br />0 <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />:E E.
