WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW SECTION 107.15 OF <br />THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES ENTITLE?J "FINANCI.4L DIS- <br />CLOSURE STATEMENT REQUIRED" OF CHAPTER 107 ENTITLED <br />"CODE OF ETHICS", AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, this Council is cognizant of the fact that it would <br />be in the best interest of the Citv to have certain elected and <br />appointed officials disclose to the Fthics Commission certain <br />activities to assure the general -oublic that no conflict of interest <br />or potential conflicts of interest with respect to the -performance <br />of their d.uties exist, and <br />?NHERFAS, this Council deems it anpropriate, because of the <br />positions held by all elected officials and those anpointed <br />officials who constitute the Board of Control, to be required to <br />file disclosure statements as hereinafter set forth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section l: That there is herby established a new Section <br />107.15 of e-Codified Ordinances to be entitled "Financial Dis- <br />closure Statement Required" of Chapter 107 entitled "Code of Ethics" <br />which new Section 107.15 shall read as follows: <br />107.15 FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE STATEMENT REQUIRED. <br />A. All elected officials and those anpointed officials who <br />serve on the Board of Control shall file a cony of a <br />Financial Disclosure Statement, which is nrovided by the <br />Ohio Ethics Commission, with the Clerk of Council, no <br />later than July 1, 1983, and thereafter no later than the <br />30th day of April in each year. Said form shall be made <br />available on or before March lst of each year through the <br />office of the Clerk of Council. Nothing contained herein <br />shall be construed so as to require anpointed officials to <br />file said Financial Disclosure Stateznent with the Ohio Ethics <br />Commission. Likewise, nothing contained herein shall be <br />construed as excusing any person, who is required, to file <br />a Disclosure Statement with the Ohio Ethics Commission. <br />B. Any official failin,g to file said Financial Disclosure <br />Statement as required by Subsection (A) hereof, shall be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor, the fine for which shall not <br />exceed Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00). Any person <br />filing a false statement contained within said statement, <br />unon conviction, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the <br />first degree.
