CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 83 -41 <br />BY. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR <br />LITTER RECEPTACLES, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has been awarded a <br />$25,000.00 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources <br />for a litter control program, and <br />WHEREAS, the application included among other things the <br />placement o.f 64 receptacles, stone aggregate of a steel type, <br />to be located at public transportation stops and city recre- <br />ational areas, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the ?desir,e of ithe', Citv .to_imme.diately emhark <br />upon the program consistent with the grant application, and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to advertise for bids for the <br />purchase of said receptacles and the placing of same. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIiE CITY OF NORTH OLb4STED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and <br />he is e eby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for <br />the purchase and placement of litter receptacles consisting <br />of a stone aggregate of a steel type to be located in various <br />areas throughout the City, all of which are to be in accordance <br />with the specifications now on file in his office, and that <br />upon approval by the Board of Control the Mayor is authorized <br />to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the <br />City of North Olmstecl. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary far the preservation of the public <br />peace, health, welfare, and safety and for the further reason <br />that it is necessary to meet certain commitments required by <br />the Department of Natural Resources so that the program can get <br />underway by June, 1983, and that it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: i. ?
