?9I3 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83-72 <br />BY: YVONNF PFTRI AC <br />AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE DEPARTMENT QF BUDGET <br />AND MANAGEMENT BY REPEALING CHAPTER 167 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES, AND BY FURTHFR PROVIDING <br />THAT THE VARIOUS FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT BE ASSIGNED TO ADMINISTRA- <br />TIVE PERSONNEL UNbER THE DIRECTION AND AUTHORITY <br />OF THE MAYOR. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to abolish the <br />Department of Budget and Management in favar of having the <br />functions of the preparation of the budget, }aurehasing, and <br />tax administration assigned to individuals who come directly <br />under the authority of the Mayor, and <br />WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the same it is necessary <br />to abolish the Department of Budget and Management by repealing <br />Chapter 167, which was heretofore enacted by this Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CCILTNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLD4STED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIQ: <br />SECTION 1: That the Department of Budget and. Management <br />is here yb aT-olished by the repeal of Ordinance No. 78-19, which <br />established the Department of Budget and bsanagement by creating <br />a Chapter 167 of the Codified Ordinances. <br />SECTION 2: That the £unction of purchasing, which was <br />heretofore performed by the Department of Budget and Management <br />be vested in an employee who will report directly to the Mayor. <br />The salary range for said employee shall be determined by Council <br />in the general ordinances establishing salaries and benefits <br />for employees of the various departments. <br />SECTION 3: That the duties heretofore performed by the <br />Department an-Management with respect to tax administration <br />regarding the income tax shall be performed by an employee who <br />shall be directly responsible to the Mayor. The salary range <br />for said employee shall be determined by Council in the general <br />ordinances establishing salaries and benefits for employees <br />of the various departments. <br />SECTION 4. That Ordinance No. 78-19 is he.reby specifically <br />repealed anc[?any other ordinance or parts of ardinances inconsistent <br />herewith are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION S.
