CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83- 89 <br />BY : DEAN A4cKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP <br />AND FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF "NO PARKING" SIGNS AT THE <br />EAST SIDE OF WEST PARK DRIVE, BEGINNING 100 FEET SOUTH <br />OF THE SOUTH ENTRANCE DRIVE TO THE COMPdUNITY CABIN AND <br />ALSO NORTH OF THE DRIVE, 430 FEET BEYOND, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has been advised that parking vehicles <br />on the east side of West Park Drive, near the Community Cabin <br />Drive, creates a hazard to vehicles existing onto West Park Drive, <br />an d <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to prohibit the <br />parking of vehicles from a point beginning 100 feet south of the <br />south entrance drive to the Community Cabin and also north of the <br />drive, 430 feet beyond, and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the <br />maintenance of a Traffic Control Map, which said map can be amended <br />only by Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Police Department be and they are hereby <br />authoriz-ed -an3-Jirected to amend the Traffic Control Map and File <br />of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the prohibition <br />of parking vehicles from a point beginning 100 feet south of the <br />south entrance drive to Community Cabin and also north of the drive, <br />430 feet beyond. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and direct- ec?to cause "No Parking" signs to be erected in accordance <br />with the provisions of Section 1 hereof. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that this hazard is more prevalent in summer months when more <br />citizens make use of the park, and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ? k,3 <br />FLORENCE E.
