? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83-92 <br />BY: YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />/9 f`1 <br />j <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 163.02 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES ENTITLED "DIRECTQR AND <br />EMPLOYEES" OF CHAPTER 163 ENTITLED "DEPARTMENT <br />OF HUMAN RESOURCES". <br />WHEREAS, since the inception of the Department of Human <br />Resources in 1974, said Department has developed into two basic <br />divisions, namely, one division dealing with problems of aging, <br />and the other division dealing with problems of youth, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to reflect the <br />aforesaid changes by making provisions within the Organizational <br />Chart for such divisions. <br />NOW, THEREFQRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TI-iE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLb4STED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 163.02 of the Codified Ordinances <br />entitle "Director and Employees" of Chapter 163 entitled <br />"Department of Human Resources" which now reads: <br />"163.02 DIRECTOR AND EMPLOYEES. <br />(a) The Department of Human Resources shall be <br />headed by a Director who shall be appointed by <br />the Mayor, with the advice and consent of Council, <br />and who shall be answerable to the Mayor. <br />(b) The employees within the Department shall be <br />as follows: <br />(1) An Assistant Director, who shall act as <br />co-ordinator for older adults (senior <br />citizens) as well as other duties assigned <br />by the Director; and <br />(2) A Secretary, who shall perform all clerical <br />work as well as act as receptionist and <br />perform all other duties as assigned by <br />the Director." <br />be and the same is hereby amended, and as amended shall read as <br />follows: <br />163.02 DIRECTOR AND EMPLOYEES. <br />(a) The Department of Human Resources shall be <br />headed by a Director who shall be appointed by <br />the Mayor, and who shall be answerable to the <br />Mayor. In addition to the Director of said <br />Department, there shall be established the <br />following positions: <br />(1) A Coordinator of the Division of Aging <br />who shall be responsible for supervising <br />and coordinating all activities dealing <br />with or relating to the social aspects <br />of aging.
