. . •.?CITY OF NORTH OLr4SfED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83- 93 <br />PAGE S. <br />SECTION 12: That the salary ranges established for the <br />Year 1983 will e effective July 4, 1983, with respect to all <br />salaries within the range designated herein as payable in 1983. <br />The salary ranges designated as being applicable in 1984 shall <br />be effective January 1, 1984. Salaries specified in this Ordinance <br />shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a by-weekly basis. <br />SECTION 13: The For <br />6 and 7 ereo will be paid <br />time rates of pay for hours <br />in any one day and time and <br />of pay, for hours worked in <br />work week. <br />emen and Dispatcher listed in Sections <br />time and one-half of their straight <br />worked in excess of eight (8) hours <br />one-half of their straight time rate <br />excess of forty (40) hours in any one <br />SECTION 14: That all full time administrative and legislative <br />personnel aving completed five (5) years of full time continuous <br />service as employees of-said departments shall be paid an additional <br />four percent (4a) of their base annual salary; thereafter until <br />completion of the tenth (lOth) year of full time continuous service, <br />after which such employee shall receive five percent (50) of their <br />base annual salary; thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth <br />(lSth) year of full time continuous service, such employee shall <br />receive six percent (6%) of their base annual salary until after <br />the completion of the twentieth (20th) year of full time continuous <br />service, and during each year of full time service thereafter they <br />shall receive seven percent (70) of their base annual salary as <br />longevity increments. <br />SECTION 15: That all full time administrative and legislative <br />personnel list? within this Ordinance shall receive the following <br />holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the <br />D7ayor in emergencies and shall receive their regular rate of pay: <br />New Year's Day; President's Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day; <br />Independence Day; i,abor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the <br />employee's birthday; and a floating holiday. <br />SECTION 16: That all full time administrative and legislative <br />personnel llstec?ithin this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual <br />vacation in accordance iaith Ordinance No. 83-31. <br />SECTION 17: That all ordinances or resolutions or parts of <br />ordinances or resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed <br />with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 18: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason it is <br />immediately necessary ro review all pay scales and bring them into <br />line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
