<br /> <br />? . a <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0, 84-126 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE WESTERN CUYAHOGA <br />LODGE N0. 25 OF THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE, <br />NORTH OLMSTED DIVISION, WHICH AGREEMENT IS THE <br />COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEr1ENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY <br />BY : MAY(1R WTF.TYNT(1W4KT <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore <br />adopted legislation calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements <br />with public employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department through the Western Cuyahoga <br />Lodge No. 25 of the Fraternal Order of Police has been recognized <br />as the exclusive bargaining agent for the Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members <br />of the police force and concluded that bargaining with an <br />agreement which is satisfactory to the administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has <br />been negotiated by the administration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement <br />which was negotiated with the Western Cuyahoga Lodge No. 25 of <br />the Fraternal Order of Police, North Olmsted Division, a copy of <br />which Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and <br />marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and <br />fringe benefits specified in said Agreement shall be January l, <br />1985. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be and the same <br />hereby is declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the <br />immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of this City and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to provide for continuity of services for <br />the year 1985 and thereafter; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be <br />in full force and effect from and immediately after its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />P A S S E D : /9.
