? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 84-18 ? <br />BY: MAYOR SWIETYNIOWSKI <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR JANITORIAL SER- <br />VICE FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE WING OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CITY HALL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to maintain a <br />high level of sanitation and cleanliness at City Hall, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire o£ this Council to maintain <br />said level at the lowest possible cost to the City, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that maintenance <br />of said level would result in costly appropriations for labor, clean- <br />ing materials and cleaning equipment, if the City attempts to maintain <br />said level through its existing means, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that a high <br />level of sanitation and cleanliness at the lowest possible cost will <br />be best achieved through contracting with a private janitorial service <br />f_or said services, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain <br />competitive bids for said services, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to advertise for <br />bids for said services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLSMTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for janitorial service for the <br />administrative wing of City Hall, in the City of North Olmsted, according <br />to the specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval <br />by the Board of Control, after having conferred with Council, the`Mayor <br />is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted, <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that to delay same <br />would cause the creation of an unacceptable level of sanitation for the <br />employees of the City and residents of North Olmsted, and further, provided <br />that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all Members of <br />Council, it shall take affect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE E.
