CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 84-21 <br />BY: MRS. PETRIGAC <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR JANITORIAL SER- <br />VICE FOR THE NORTH OLMSTED RECREATION COMPLEX, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to maintain a <br />high level of sanitation and cleanliness at the North Olmsted Recre- <br />ation Comples, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to maintain said <br />level at the lowest possible cost to the City, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that maintenance <br />of said level would result in costly appropriations for labor, cleaning <br />materials and cleaning eauipment if the City attempts to maintain said <br />level through its existing means, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that a high level <br />of sanitation and cleanliness at the lowest possible cost will be best <br />achieved through contracting with a private janitorial service for said <br />services, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of_ this Council to obtain competi- <br />tive bids for said services, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to advertise for <br />bids for said services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is <br />hereby authorize to advertise for bids for janitorial service for the <br />North Olmsted Recreation Complex, according to specifications now on <br />file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />after having conferred with Council, the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that to <br />delay same would cause the creation of an unacceptable level of sani- <br />tation for the employees and residents of the City of North Olmsted, and <br />further, provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all Members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE E.
