x <br />1- <br />.? <br />4 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTEll <br />ORDINANCE N0. 84-40 <br />BY: Alt ? <br />AN ORllINANCE ADOPTING A NEW AND REVISED <br />CHAPTER 911 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />ENTITLED "SEWERS GENERALLY" AND ADOPTING <br />A NEW AND REVISED CHAPTER 917 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES ENTITLED "INDUSTRIAL <br />PRETREATMENT" AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />Whereas, the City of North Olmsted has applied for and <br />received Federal Grants with respect to the construction of <br />additions to the existing sewage treatment facility, and <br />Whereas, the Environrnental Protection Agency has required <br />certain provisions be incorporated into the ordinances of the <br />City of North Olmsted dealing with the maintenance of sanitary <br />sewers, and <br />Whereas, it is the desire of this Council to adopt the <br />revised Chapters 911 and 917 to reflect various changes and to at <br />the same time combine provisions that were previously specified <br />in Chapters 913 and 915. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That this Council hereby adopts new and revised <br />Chapters 911 and 917 entitled "Sewers Generally" and "Industrial <br />Pretreatment" respectively, a copy of which is attached hereto. <br />SECTION 2: That this ordinance repeals any other ordinance <br />or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason <br />that it is immediately necessary to adopt this ordinance for the <br />purpose of completing the Grant application for the expansion of <br />the sewage treatment plant, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Nlayor. <br />PASSED: ? ?6 .
