CITY OF NORTH OLMS?"D ? <br />. *ORDZNANCE NO. <br />PAGE 2 - <br />SECTTON 4: In computing length of service for the purpose <br />of making payments of longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no <br />credit shall be given for part-time services, but such limitation <br />is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments, and the <br />exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of <br />any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service, as <br />employees of the Building Department. <br />SECTION 5: That the employees of the Building Department shall <br />not be required to work the following holidays, unless requested to <br />work by the Building Commissioner in an emergency: P1ew Year's Day; <br />Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving <br />Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday; President's Day; and <br />a floating holiday. <br />SECTION 6: That all full-time employees of the Building <br />Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with <br />City Ordinance No. 83-31. <br />SECTION 7: That any other Ordinances or Resolutions, or parts <br />of Ordinances or Resolutions, in conflict herewith to the provisions <br />of this Ordinance, and especially Ordinance No. 78-75 enacted on <br />June 20, 1978, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this <br />Ordinance. <br />SECTION 8: That the Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to <br />forward a copy of this Ordinance to the Building Commissioner and <br />the Director of Finance for the payment of remuneration, as set forth <br />above, immediately upon its passage. <br />SECTION 9: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it <br />is immediately necessary to review all pay scales and bring them into <br />line due to inflation and cost of living increases, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
