<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 84- 59 <br />BY: Mr. Ronald J. Wilamosky <br />ryb ? <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO "PICK-UP" <br />EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE OHIO POLICE ANll <br />FIREMEN'S DISABILITY AND PENSION FUND <br />("PFDPF") <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />County of Cuyahoga; State of Ohio, that: <br />SECTION l: The contribution required to be made by each City <br />employee described below to the Ohio Police and Firemen's <br />Disability and Pension Fund ("PFDPF") as an employee contribution <br />under Ohio Revised Code Section 742.31 shall be paid by the City <br />on behalf of those employees in lieu of contribution by the <br />employees in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 2: The total compensation payable by the City to <br />each employee in any pay period shall be reduced by the amount <br />payable by the City to PFDPF on behalf of that employee under <br />Section 1 of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: The provisions of this Ordinance shall apply to <br />all employees required to make employee contributions to PFDPF <br />under Ohio Revised Code Section 742.31 and no employee shall have <br />the option to receive direct payment of the amounts contributed <br />by the City to PFDPF on his or her behalf instead of having them <br />contributed to PFDPF. <br />SECTION 4: The Mayor and the Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to take any and all acts which are <br />necessary and appropriate to initiate implementation of the <br />provisions of this Ordinance, including, but not limited to, <br />making required application to the PFDPF Board of Trustees. <br />SECTION 5: Subject to any requirements imposed by the <br />Internal Revenue Service and the PFDPF Board, the provisions of <br />this Ordinance shall apply to all payroll payments payable by teh <br />City to employees after , 1984, provided that <br />the same shall be effective only so long as they are approved by <br />the Board of Trustees of PFDPF or its agents. <br />SECTION 6: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br />from and after the earliest time permitted by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST; <br />FLORENCE E.
