The Secretary and in accordance with the the following salary ranges are hereby s employees in the Department of Budget FROM TO $18,000 $28,700 Annually Clerical Assistants shall be compensated schedule established in Section 4 hereof. C. The individual salaries to be paid to the employees of the Department of Budget and Management as specified in Subsection A and B hereof shall be established by the Director and Mayor. SECTION 12: That the following salary is established for members of the Police and Fire Department: A. Chief of Police Department $39,599 B. Chief of Fire Department $39,599 C. Assistant Chief of Fire Department $35,043 SECTION 13: That the salary ranges and amounts established for the year 1985 will be effective retroactive to January 1, 1985, with respect to all salaries within the range designated herein as payable in 1985. Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a bi-weekly basis. SECTION 14: The Foremen and Dispatcher listed in Sections 6 and 7 hereof will be paid time and one-half of their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in any one day and time and one-half of their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one work week. SECTION 15: That all full time administrative and legislative personnel having completed five (5) years of full time continuous service as employees of said departments shall be paid an additional four percent (40) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of the tenth (lOth) year of full time continuous service after which such employee shall receive five percent (5%) of their base annual salary; thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full time continuous service, such employee shall re- ceive six percent (60) of their base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) year of full time continuous service, and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base annual salary as longevity increments. SECTION 16: That all full time administrative and legislative personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the following holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies and shall receive their regular rate of pay: New Year's Day; President's Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day; Inde- pendence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the employee's birthday; and a floating holiday. SECTION 17: That all full time administrative and legislative personnel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with the vacation ordinance adopted by council.
