CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 85 - 56 <br />By: MR. WILAMOSKY <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR AND ACCEPT BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF <br />THE BARTON ROAD PAVEMENT AND ROADSIDE AREAS FROM THE <br />LORAIN ROAD INTERSECTION NORTHWEST TO THE CITY LIMITS, <br />AS DETAILED IN THE BARTON ROAD PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS <br />ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR SAME <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, City Council is desirous of improving the roadway, <br />berms and roadside ditches along a portion of Barton Road, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary plans and specifications as designed <br />by the Engineering Department of the City are on file, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the improvement of the <br />Barton Road pavement and roadside areas according to plans and <br />specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval <br />by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare and further, provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immedia- <br />tely upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: 3- <br />ATTEST: <br />A_t?? ° • <br />Florence E.
