(herein referred to as the <br />••Association••). <br />Y I T N E S S E T H• <br />VE[EREAS, the Employer and the Association desire to promote, <br />achieve, and maintain harmonious relations between the Employer and the <br />Association, and <br />WHEREAS, the Employer and the Association desire to provide for <br />the equitable and peaceful adjustment of differences as they may arise, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Employer and the Association desire to establish <br />proper standards of wages, hours and other conditions of employment; <br />NOV, THExEFORE, in consideration of the promises and of the <br />mutual covenants hereia contained, it is mutually agreed as follows: <br />ARTICLE I <br />DEFINITIONS <br />In this Agreement, whenever the contezt so indicates, the <br />singular or plural number and the masculine, feminine or neuter gender <br />shall be deemed to include the other, the terms "he", "his•• and ••him" <br />shall refer to an Employee (as herein defined) and the capitalized terms <br />shall have the following meanings: <br />AAreement <br />This agreement including all amendments <br />thereto. <br />AARrieved Partv <br />Anniversarv Date <br />Association <br />Basic Hourlv xate of Pav <br />Any Employee or Employees within the <br />Association filing a Grievance. <br />January 1, 1985, and each January 1 <br />thereafter. <br />Local 1267 I.A.F.F. <br />That rate of pay equal to the total <br />annual salary of an Employee divided by <br />2080 hours. <br />Board of Health The Cuyahoga County Board of Health <br />Call Back Time which an Employee is called baclc <br />to work and which is commonly <br />understood by the Employer and the <br />Association as call back time. <br />Captain <br />An individual having the rank of <br />Captain in the Fire Department.
