YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE NORTH OLMSTED TRANSPORTATION <br />STUDY CONAIUNITY TRANSPORTATION PLAN PREPARED BY THE <br />NORTH OLMSTED TRANSPORTATION STUDY TEAM. <br />WHEREAS, over a twenty two (22) month period various members of a team <br />consisting of public, civil, and private interests took on the task to <br />review and attempt to solve long range transportation problems existing <br />within the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the team was aided in its study by Northeast Ohio Areawide <br />Coordinating Agencp, commonly known as NOACA; and <br />WHEREAS, after receiving citizen input and professional opinions from <br />NOACA, the North Olmsted City Engineer, a professional traffic consultant, <br />the Study Team presented its final report on November 22, 1986; and <br />WHEREAS, said report includes twelve (12) preferred improvements which, <br />if implemented, would address major transportation needs to the next <br />decade and into the next century; and <br />WHEREAS, the members of the Administration and Council have received <br />the detailed analysis of the various recommendations made by the <br />Transportation Study Team; and <br />WHEREAS, after having reviewed the report issued by the Transportation <br />Study Team, this Council is in agreement with the recommendations and <br />wishes to express its appreciation and support of the recommendations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby adopt the recommendations of <br />the North Olmsted Transportation Studp Team, which recommendations have <br />been published in the North Olmsted Transportation Study Community <br />Transportation Plan issued on November 22, 1986. Further, this Council <br />recognizes that in order to implement the recommendations specified in said <br />plan, that it will be necessary in the future to adopt additional <br />legislation to fund said projects. It is further antiicpated that in the <br />future, each project will be looked at on an individual basis in light of, <br />not onlp priority, but cost of project together with participation with <br />respect to federal, state and county funds.
