3 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86- 93 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE GREATER CLEVELAND SCHOOL <br />SUPERINTENDANTS ASSOCIATION AND PROMOTING PROJECT CARE <br />WHICH IS A PROGRAM DESIGNED TO REDUCE CHEMICAL ABUSE <br />THROUGH EDUCATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Administration and Council has been made aware of the <br />fact that the Greater Cleveland School Superintendants Association has <br />adopted a program known as Project Care which is designed to reduce <br />chemical abuse through education; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the belief of this Council that there are too many <br />instances of chemical abuse within our City in that the same can be reduced <br />through a program such as Project Care which has been developed by the <br />Greater Cleveland School Superintendants Association; and <br />WHEREAS, Project Care has led in the development of Community Action <br />Teams to help deal with chemical problems in the schools and communities; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Project Care has designated October 12 to the 18, 1986 as <br />"Families Say No! to Alcohol and Drugs" week; and <br />WHEREAS, Project Care and Burger King franchisees of Northeast Ohio, <br />who fund Project Care, have asked for public support during said week. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That this Council support Project Care which is sponsored <br />by the Greater Cleveland School Superintendants Association and hereby <br />declare the week of October 12 to the 18, 1986 as "Families Say Nol to <br />Alcohol and Drugs" week. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution shall be in effect from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED:7. /9? <br />ATTEST : <br />1
