CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 86 - 74 BY: MAYOR PETRIGAC AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ENGINEERING FIRM OF HOWARD, NEEDLES, TAMMEN AND BERGENDOFF FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING IMPROVEMENT STUDY AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FOR ADDITIONAL INTERCHANGES ON I-480 AT THE LOCATION OF CLAGUE ROAD AND GREAT NORTHERN BOULEVARD AT A COST WHICH IS NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000.00) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Transportation Study Team has determined that one of the priority items with respect to improving the transportation flow in the Citq of North Olmsted is to provide interchanges at both Clague Road and Great Northe=n Boulevard in connection with I-480; and WHEREAS, those proposed interchanges have been communicated to the Ohio Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the City has been notified recently that said projects are viewed favorably and that in order to proceed with any funding for the improvements that it is necessary to have an engineering study prepared and reviewed for further consideration; and WHEREAS, this Council is desirous of proceeding in a most expeditious manner so that the improvements as aforesaid may be made, which improvements will benefit the entire City with respect to the flow of traffic along I-480; and WHEREAS, this Council is desirous of having the firm of Howard, Needles, Tammen and Bergendoff prepare a study and forward the same on to the Ohio Department of Transportation for purposes of having said projects f unded . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TFiE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the engineering firm of Howard, Needles, Tammen and Bergendoff for the purpose of having a studp performed regarding the feasability of having additional interchanges placed at Clague Road and 1
