CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 86- 44 BY: MR. TALLON AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 729 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED "SELF- SERVICE AUTO WASH" BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 729.06 ENTITLED "COIN CHANGERS REQUIRED" WHEREAS, this Council has been made aware of the fact that there is a need to require coin changers in self-serve auto wash facilities; and WHEREAS, this Council is desirous of amending Chapter 729 by providing for the requirement of having at the place of business coin changers which are in operable condition together with other regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Chapter 729 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Self-Service Auto Wash" be and the same are amended to include a new Section 729.06 entitled "Coin Changers Required" which new Section shall read as follows: 729.06 Coin Changers Required The owners and/or operators of a self-service auto wash shall have placed on the premises of said business a coin changer which shall in addition to making change for coins shall change dollar bills for coins. Said coin changer shall be maintained and operable at all times that the self-service auto wash is open for business. In the area of the coin changer, there shall be a sign which prominently displays the name and telephone number of a responsible person who is designated as either the owner or operator of said business establishment. The owner or operator, or his designee, shall be available by phone at all times that the self-service auto wash is open for business. Any owner or operator who fails to comply with the provisions of this Section shall be subject to the penalty provisions in 729.99 of this Chapter. SECTION 2: The requirements which respect to the enactment of this Section shall be enforced by the Department of Public Safety.
