? i <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 86-25 <br />BY THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE YUBLIC SEKVICE OF JAMES <br />D. BOEHMER, PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED <br />WHEREAS, the members of Council, the Mayor and the Administration of <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, wish to commend the public service and <br />dedication of JAMES D. BOEHMER by setting forth his record and <br />accomplishments for over 14 years of public service. <br />JAMES D. BOEHMER has been a resident of the City of <br />North Olmsted for 26 years. <br />JAMES D. BOEHMER was elected and served for two terms as <br />Ward I Councilman. He also served as Council-at-Law for <br />six years and President of Council for four years. <br />During JAMES D. BOEHMER's 14 years on Council he served <br />on all committees and was chairman of most. He was <br />instrumental in starting the Senior Center, expansion of <br />the sewer plant, new administration building and <br />introduced legislation to benefit our community with a <br />new rescue squad vehicle for the fire department. <br />JAMES D. BOEHMER also served as President of Community <br />Council, Past Commander of V.F.W. Post 7647, President <br />of the North Olmsted Democratic Club and was a member of <br />the Charter Review Commission, Knights of Columbus, <br />Lakewood Elks and Optimist International. Due to his <br />outstanding record of public service he was selected <br />North Olmsted Citizen of the Year in 1983 <br />Along with the many services he has performed for the <br />City, JAMES D. BOEHMER has been an employee of C.E.I for <br />37 years. He is a member of the AFL-CIO, Utility <br />Workers of America, Local 270 and was selected 1983 <br />Citizen of the Year. <br />JAMES D. BOEHMER's military record includes the European <br />Theatre in tidorld Ward II and service in the Korean <br />Conflict. He was honorably discharged from both the <br />Army and Navy. <br />He and his wife of 35 years, Ruth, are members of St. <br />Richard's Parish. Ruth and their children, David and <br />Douglas, can be very proud of the achievements that <br />JAMES D. BOEHMER has accomplished.
