<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. $6 - 9 <br />B Y : _2t,_?? <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FIVE (5) NEW <br />POLICE CARS TO BE USED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration deems it <br />advisable to have a continuing program whereby older vehicles <br />are retired so as to eliminate the cost of maintenance, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council and the Safety <br />Department that the City is in need of five (5) additional police <br />cars which will replace five (5) existing police cars. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he <br />is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for five (5) new <br />police cars which shall be in accordance with specifications <br />now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board <br />of Control, the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and <br />be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
