<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 87- 129 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH MUNN FORD TRACTOR SALES, INC. FOR THE <br />TRADE OF SURPLUS EQUIPMENT IN RETURN FOR NEW EQUIPMENT <br />NEEDED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SERVICE DEPARTMENT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the administration, this Council has <br />been advised that two Ford tractors currently in possession of the Service <br />Department are considered to be surplus property and no longer needed by <br />the City; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has been advised by the administration that the <br />value of said surplus property is Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred and Fifteen <br />Dollars ($13,215.00) and that Munn Ford Tractor Sales, Inc. is willing to <br />take said surplus property and trade and in return sell to the City a one <br />Excel Hustler Model 340 Tractor in the amount of Sixteen Thousand Seven <br />Eighty Eight Dosllars ($16,788.00) and one Tiger Line Model HD67A Stretch <br />Maxi Stow-A-Grame for Two Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Five Dollars and <br />Twenty Cents ($2,775.20) and deducting therefrom the value of the surplus <br />property, nameley Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred Fifteen Dollars <br />($13,215.00); and <br />WHEREAS, This Council believes that is in the best interest of the <br />City to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement as hereinbefore <br />specified. <br />NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with Munn Ford Tractor Sales, Inc. upon the <br />terms and conditions hereinbefore specified. <br />SECTION 2: This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to trade surplus property to properly preserve the City's <br />financial position, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />1 <br />
