CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 87 - 95 <br />By: MAYOR PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMEI~I' WITH THE NORTH OLMSTED FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL <br />1267 I.A.F.F., WHICH AGREEMENT IS THE COLLECTIVE <br />BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE NORTH <br />OLI~STED FIRE DEPARTMIIVT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted <br />legislation calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public <br />employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department through the North Olmsted Fire Fighters <br />Local 1267 I.A.F.F. has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent <br />for the Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the. members of the Fire <br />Department and concluded that bargaining with an agreement which is satis- <br />factory to the administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to <br />enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated <br />by the administration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with <br />the North 0]msted Fire Fighters Local 1267 I.A.F.F., a copy of which <br />Agreement is attached hereto and made apart hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />Section 2: .That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe <br />benefits specified in said Agreement shall be January 1 ,3987. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be and the same hereby is <br />declared to be an emergency .measure .necessary for the immediate preservation <br />of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of this City and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide fbr continuity <br />of services for the year 1887 and thereafter; whei~efe~re, this Ordinance. <br />shall be in full force and effect from and immediately after its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />
