JOB TITLE: LABORER "A" <br />Responsible to: Division Foreman <br />Characteristic Duties: Employees in this classification operate <br />ultiple types of vehicular equipment including a Gradall, Road <br />Grader, Asphalt Spreader, Salt Spreader, Carry-All, Hy-Lift <br />Truck, Packer Trucks, Trucks of five (5) tons capacity or more, <br />Heavy Duty Snow Plows, Large Roller Tractor, Street Sweeper, <br />Sanivac, and various types of earth moving equipment, .such as <br />backhoe-and bulldozer. Sign making, the employee assigned to <br />signs must have the ability to interpret the Ohio Manual of <br />Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and maintain inventory control <br />of sign materials. Employees in this classification frequently <br />will direct the activities of a work crew as assigned by <br />supervision. An employee in this classification assigned to <br />driving a truck leads activities of the general laborers assigned <br />to his truck and is responsible for their activities. The <br />employee will receive generalized supervision with specific <br />.directions available as required. This employee is responsible <br />for the vehicle and tools assigned and may be required to operate <br />radio equipment.
