through 8-14, and the City will not recognize any other Union, <br />organization or person as the representative for any employees <br />within such classifications. Nothing herein shall prevent <br />individual employees from discussing terms and conditions of <br />employment now covered by this Agreement with the City, however, <br />such communication shall not be used to undermine the position of <br />the Union as the representative of the employees. <br />ARTICLE 3: NON-DISCRIMINATION <br />Section 1: Both the City and the Union recognize their <br />respective responsibilities under the federal and state civil <br />rights laws, fair employment practice acts and other similar <br />constitutional and statutory requirements. Therefore, both the <br />City and the Union hereby reaffirm their commitments, legal and <br />moral, not to discriminate in any manner relating to employment <br />on the basis or race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, or <br />any other invidious reason. <br />Section 2: The City recognizes the right of all employees <br />and applicants for employment to be free to join the Union and <br />participate in lawful, concerted Union activities.
