It is the desire of this Council that the ballots pre- <br />sented to the electors of the city of North Olmsted shall be in substantially <br />the following form: <br />PROPOSED INCREASE IN MUNICIPAL INCOME TAX RATE <br />A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage. <br />Shall the ordinance (Ordinance No. 87-79) providing for a <br />one and one-half percent (1-1/2x) levy on income, which <br />constitutes an increase of one-half percent in the existing <br />income tax, effective January 1, 1988, for the purpose of <br />providing funds for general municipal functions, main- <br />tenance, new equipment, extension, enlargement and improve- <br />ment of municipal services and facilities, storm drainage <br />system and street system rehabilitation, reconstruction and <br />improvements and permanent improvements of the City of <br />North Olmsted, including the payment of principal of and <br />interest and any premium on general obligation bonds and <br />bond anticipation notes, be passed? <br />FOR THE INCOME TAX <br />AGAINST THE INCOME TAX <br />Section 4. The Clerk of Council be and hereby is directed to file a <br />certified copy of this resolution with the Board of Elections no later than <br />August 20, 1987. <br />Section 5. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this resolution were <br />taken in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this <br />Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were <br />in meetings open to the public in compliance with the law. <br />- S - <br />
