YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH OHIO BELL COMMUNICATIONS TO PROVIDE AND <br />INSTALL ALL OF THE POSITRON E911 EQUIPMENT REQUIRED TO <br />PARTICIPATE IN THE COUNTY-WIDE 911 PROGRAM AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY . <br />WHEREAS, the Safety Director has conducted a study with respect to <br />various proposals offered by installers of equipment compatible with the <br />County-wide 911 program; and <br />WHEREAS, after having done so, has determined that it would be in the <br />best interest to enter into an agreement with Ohio Bell Communications in <br />that their proposals are not only competetive, but the services offered <br />would be consistent with the requirements of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Safety Director to this Council, it <br />is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />Agreement with Ohio Bell Communications to provide the necessary equipment <br />to participate in the County-wide 911 Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, B~ IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with Ohio Bell Communications to provide and <br />install all of the Positron E911 equipment necessary to participate in the <br />County-wide 911 Program. Said agreement shall contain provisions <br />indicating that the payment for the equipment shall be on a five year lease <br />program with title transferring to the City after the sixtieth (60) payment <br />without any further monetary payments having to be paid. The monthly <br />payment for said equipment, as well as the maintenance of said equipment, <br />shall be One Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars ($1-,735.00) per month. <br />SECTION 2: That the money needed to complete the aforesaid <br />transactions shall be paid from funds that are presently appropriated or to <br />be appropriated in conjunction with any County funds available and any <br />other money that may become available through the Community Development <br />Block Grant Fund and available for such purposes. <br />SECTION 3: It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this Ordinance wer <br />1 <br />
