CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 87-53 PAGE FIVE SECTION 12: That the following salary is established for members of the Police and Fire Departments. FROM TO A. Chief of Police Department $43,761 Annually B. Chief of Fire Department 43,761 Annually C. Assistant Chief of Fire 38,726 D. In addition to the salaries as specified herein, the Chief of Police Department, Chief of Fire Department, and Assistant Chief of Fire Department shall be entitled to any and all benefits afforded the members of each of their respective departments. However, the over-time benefits afforded the members of the Police and Fire Departments shall not apply to the Chief of Police and Chief of Fire. SECTION 13: That the salary ranges and amounts established for the year 1987 will be effective retroactive to January 1, 1987. Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a bi-weekly basis. SECTION 14: That the Foremen listed in Sections 6 and 7 hereof will be paid time and one-half of their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in any one day and time and one-half cf their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40} hours in any one work week. Double time shall be paid to said employees for Sundays and Holidays provided they have worked at Least forty (40) hours during the work week. SECTION 15: That alI full-time administrative and legislative personnel listed in this Ordinance having completed five (S) years of full-time continuous service as employees of said departments shall be paid an additional four percent (4~) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of the tenth (10th) year of full-time continuous service after which such employee shall receive five percent (SZ) of their base annual salary; thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continuous service, such employee shall receive six percent (6~) of their base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) year of full-time continuous service, and during each year of full- time service thereafter they shall receive seven percent (7Z) of their base annual salary as longevity increments. SECTION 16: That all full-time administrative and legislative personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the following holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies and shall receive their regular rate of pay; New Year's Day; President's Day; one-half ('~) day on Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; one- half (~) day on Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; the employee's birth- day; and a floating holiday.
