<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 87-53 <br />PAGE FIVE <br />SECTION 12: That the following salary is established for <br />members of the Police and Fire Departments. <br />FROM TO <br />A. Chief of Police Department $43,761 Annually <br />B. Chief of Fire Department 43,761 Annually <br />C. Assistant Chief of Fire 38,726 <br />D. In addition to the salaries as specified herein, the Chief of <br />Police Department, Chief of Fire Department, and Assistant Chief <br />of Fire Department shall be entitled to any and all benefits <br />afforded the members of each of their respective departments. <br />However, the over-time benefits afforded the members of the Police <br />and Fire Departments shall not apply to the Chief of Police and <br />Chief of Fire. <br />SECTION 13: That the salary ranges and amounts established <br />for the year 1987 will be effective retroactive to January 1, 1987. <br />Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director <br />of Finance on a bi-weekly basis. <br />SECTION 14: That the Foremen listed in Sections 6 and 7 <br />hereof will be paid time and one-half of their straight time rates <br />of pay for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in any one <br />day and time and one-half cf their straight time rate of pay for <br />hours worked in excess of forty (40} hours in any one work week. <br />Double time shall be paid to said employees for Sundays and Holidays <br />provided they have worked at Least forty (40) hours during the work <br />week. <br />SECTION 15: That alI full-time administrative and legislative <br />personnel listed in this Ordinance having completed five (S) years <br />of full-time continuous service as employees of said departments <br />shall be paid an additional four percent (4~) of their base annual <br />salary; thereafter until completion of the tenth (10th) year of <br />full-time continuous service after which such employee shall receive <br />five percent (SZ) of their base annual salary; thereafter until the <br />completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continuous <br />service, such employee shall receive six percent (6~) of their base <br />annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) <br />year of full-time continuous service, and during each year of full- <br />time service thereafter they shall receive seven percent (7Z) of <br />their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 16: That all full-time administrative and legislative <br />personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the following <br />holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the <br />Mayor in emergencies and shall receive their regular rate of pay; <br />New Year's Day; President's Day; one-half ('~) day on Good Friday; <br />Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; one- <br />half (~) day on Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; the employee's birth- <br />day; and a floating holiday. <br />
