~_ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 87 - 46 AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF A FLEXIBLE ENGINE AND DIFFERENTIAL REMOVAL KIT FOR THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS LINE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to maintain safe vehicles for the passengers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and, WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line is oper- ating under a contractual obligation to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority to maintain safe vehicles and to provide for continuity of transportation services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. SECTION l: That the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line is authorized to purchase a Flxible Engine and Differential Re- moval kit with accessories for approximately $12,114 from the Flxible Corporation, who is the sole supplier and distributor of this item and further, said purchase is necessary to pre- serve the safety of buses maintained and operated for all public transit riders. SECTION 2: That the sum of $12,114 is available and appropriated in the Routine Capital Purchases account in the Bus Fund to make this purchase. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the pre- servation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that the aforesaid repairs will be made for the safe and continued operation of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line and its contractual obligation with the Greater Cleve- land Regional Transit Authority, and further, provided it re- ceives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
