CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 87+4 BY: MR. O'GRADY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 737.03(g) AND SECTION 737.05(d) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES ENTITLED "REQUIREMENTS OF PEDDLERS" AND "PROHIBITED PLACES OF SALE", RESPECTIVELY, OF CHAPTER 737 ENTITLED "FROZEN DESSERT PEDDLERS". WHEREAS, Council has had an opportunity to review Chapter 737 of the Codified Ordinances for any needed changes; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the current license fee of $50.00 is inadequate and should be $100.00 per vehicle; and WHEREAS, this Council believes that the hours of sale should be restricted to no sale before 1:00 p.m, or after 7:00 p.m. on Sundays and before 10:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p,rn. other days. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLP~ISTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That Section 737.03 of the Codified Ordinances entitled "Requirements of Peddlers" which now reads: "737.03 REQUIREMENTS OF PEDDLERS. All persons employed as peddlers shall: (a) Be at least eighteen years of age; (b) Be regular employees of the person selling the frozen desserts; (c) Wear clean, washable, outer garments or uniforms disclosing the name of his employer thereon; (d) Maintain themselves in a clean and personable condition and free from contagious disease; (e) Keep and maintain a food establishment permit issued through the Health District authorities; (f) Make application for a permit from the Safety Director and display approved permit in each vehicle; (g) Make payment of fifty dollars ($50.00) per vehicle on an annual basis from January lst through December 31st; (h) Carry a minimum of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) bodily injury and property damage insurance. The peddler shall exhibit to the City evidence that such insurance is in effect." ~,~~.~ _.
