CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 87-28 BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH OHIO COUNCIL 8 AND LOCAL N0. 2681 OF AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES COVERING SAFETY FORCE DISPATCHERS AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with Ohio Council 8 and Local No. 2681 of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees covering Safety Force Dispatchers in an effort to reach an amicable settlement between said Union and the City; and WHEREAS, said agreement has been finalized and put in writing, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, this Council hereby approves the wage and benefit package established therein and desires to have the same formalized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with Ohio Council 8 and Local No. 2681 of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, covering Safety Force Dispatchers, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A. SECTION 2: That any ordinance, parts of ordinances or other agreements inconsistent herewith are hereby specifically repealed. SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared measure immediately necessary for the preservation of safety, and welfare and for the further reason that necessary to provide for the continuity of services w further provided it receives the affirmative vote of members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be to be an emergency the public health, it is immediately ithin the City and two thirds of all inforce immediately
