CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 87-28 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A COLLECTIVE <br />BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH OHIO COUNCIL 8 AND LOCAL N0. <br />2681 OF AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND <br />MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES COVERING SAFETY FORCE DISPATCHERS <br />AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO SAID AGREEMENT AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with Ohio Council 8 and <br />Local No. 2681 of American Federation of State, County and Municipal <br />Employees covering Safety Force Dispatchers in an effort to reach an <br />amicable settlement between said Union and the City; and <br />WHEREAS, said agreement has been finalized and put in writing, a copy <br />of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked <br />Exhibit A; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council hereby approves the wage and benefit package <br />established therein and desires to have the same formalized. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with Ohio Council 8 and <br />Local No. 2681 of American Federation of State, County and Municipal <br />Employees, covering Safety Force Dispatchers, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That any ordinance, parts of ordinances or other agreements <br />inconsistent herewith are hereby specifically repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />safety, and welfare and for the further reason that <br />necessary to provide for the continuity of services w <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be <br />to be an emergency <br />the public health, <br />it is immediately <br />ithin the City and <br />two thirds of all <br />inforce immediately <br />
