<br />22. The City shall provide the Union with a copy of the <br />seniority lists and these lists shall be updated every six <br />months. The seniority 1 fists and these lists shall be made <br />up by classifications and shall contain in order of date of <br />hire, the name, department, date of hire and classification <br />seniority date of each employee. <br />23. Continuous service and seniority shall be borken when <br />an employee: <br />(a) Quits or resigns; <br />~- <br />(b) Is discharged for just cause; '..._- <br />(c) Is laid off for a period equal to the amount -» <br />of seniority held at the time the lay-off <br />commences, or twenty-four (24) consecutive " <br />months, whichever is less; <br />(d) Fails: to report to work within seven (7) <br />calendar days when recalled from lay-off <br />by certified mail addressed to the employee`s <br />last known address as shown on the City's <br />records, unless the employee is unable to <br />work due to medically proven disability; <br />(e) Is absent without report for three:(3) <br />consecutive work days unless the employee <br />has a reasonable excuse for failing to report <br />the absence. <br />24. The City shall advise the Union in writing of additions to <br />or deletions from the seniority list at the end of each pay <br />period. A copy of the list of additions and/or deletions will <br />be sent to the Local Union President and the Local Union <br />Treasurer. <br />-9- <br />
