. ,. <br />- s ~ ~ . <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 87 - 6 <br />BY: MAYOR PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO PARTLCIPATE IN CONTRACTS OF THE <br />STATE OF OHIO, DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SER- <br />VICES, OFFICE OF STATE PURCHASING, FOR THE PURCHASE <br />OF SUPPLIES, SERVICES, EQUIPMENT AND CERTAIN MATERIALS, <br />PURSUANT TO REVISED CODE, SECTION 125.04, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Ohio's Cooperative Purchasing Act, (AM. Sub. H.B. <br />No. 100), was signed into law by Governor Richard F. Celeste on <br />December 4, 1985; and <br />WHEREAS, effective March 6, 1986, Ohio's Cooperative Purchasing <br />Act provides the opportunity for counties, townships, municipal corpor- <br />ations and school districts to participate in contracts of the State of <br />Ohio, Department of Administrative Services, Office of State Purchasing <br />for the Purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain materials. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted hereby <br />requests authority in the name of the City of North Olmsted to participate <br />in state contracts which the Department of Administrative Services, Off ice <br />of State Purchasing, has entered into for the purchase of supplies, ser- <br />vices, equipment and certain materials pursuant to Revised Code Section <br />125.04. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted is hereby <br />authorized to agree in the name of the City of North Olmsted to be bound <br />by all contract terms and conditions as the Department of Administrative <br />Service, Office of State Purchasing prescribes. Such terms and conditions <br />may include a reasonable fee to cover the adminstrative costs which the <br />Department of Administrative Services incurs as a result of the City of <br />North Olmsted's participation in a contract. Further, that the City of <br />North Olmsted does hereby agree to be bound by all such terms and con- <br />ditions. <br />SECTION 3: That the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted is hereby <br />authorized to agree, in the name of the City of North Olmsted, to directly <br />pay the vendor, under each such state contract in which it participates, <br />for items it receives pursuant to the contract, and that the Mayor does <br />hereby agree to directly pay the vendor. <br />
