Units. The Service Director shall not issue a permit <br />for the purpose described in subsection (a) hereof <br />until the applicant therefor has paid a tap-in charge to <br />be determined in accordance with the following: <br />If Permit Obtained: Benefited Unit of One <br />From January 1, 1985 to March 31, 1988 $555.00 <br />From April 1, 1988 to April 30, 1989 $625.00 <br />From May 1, 1989 thereafter $700.00 <br />Such incremental charges are designed to offset in part <br />the interest costs incurred by the City in issuing notes <br />and bonds and the loan from the Ohio Water Development <br />Authority to pay the cost,of construction improvements <br />and extensions to the sewerage system which were not <br />recovered by special assessments. <br />Definition of Benefited Units <br />Single family Resident Apartments: <br />Efficiency and one bedroom Number of apartment units x.5 <br />Two Bedroom Number of apartment units x.75 <br />Three bedroom and over Number of apartment units x 1.0 <br />The number of benefited units to be assigned to non- <br />residential buildings, structures or other facilities <br />shall be determined by the Service Director in the <br />following manner. The Service Director shall review the <br />preliminary plans of the building, structure or other <br />facility to be served by the connection, together with <br />other pertinent information, and based upon accepted <br />engineering practices determine the estimated average <br />daily quantity of sewage to be discharged from such <br />building, structure or other facility to the sanitary <br />sewer system. The quantity so determined shall then be <br />divided by the estimated average daily quantity of <br />sewage discharged from a single-family residence and the <br />resulting quotient carried out to the nearest one- <br />hundredth shall be the number of benefited units <br />assigned to such building, structure or other facility. <br />The tap-in charge will then be calculated by multiplying <br />the number of benefited units by the rate per unit <br />applicable at such time." <br />be amended, and as amended, shall be titled and shall read as follows: <br />2
