Yvonne Petrigac, Mayor <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 949.03, ENTITLED <br />"CUTTING AND TRIMMING REQUIRED," OF CHAPTER 949, <br />ENTITLED "TREES AND WEEDS" OF THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES, SO AS TO REGULATE THE HEIGHT <br />OF LAWNS WITHIN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED. <br />WHEREAS, the Administration desires to update Chapter 949 of the <br />North Olmsted Codified Ordinances, entitled "Trees and Weeds," so as, in <br />addition to noxious or poisonous weeds, and vines, to additionally <br />regulate the height of lawns located on parcels of land within the City of <br />North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to so amend Chapter 949 of the North <br />Olmsted Codified Ordinances to grant authority to the Administration to <br />regulate the height of lawns within the City of North Olmsted, in addition <br />to noxious and poisonous weeds, and vines, and to further lowering the <br />existing regulative height from twelve (12) inches to eight (8) inches; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council ofthe City of North <br />Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. That Section 949.03 of the North Olmsted Codified <br />Ordinances, entitled "Cutting and Trimming Required," which presently <br />reads: <br />"No owner or occupant or person having the charge or <br />management of any lot or parcel of land situated within <br />the City whether improved or unimproved, vacant or <br />occupied shall permit any noxious or poisonous weed, or <br />vines to exceed a height of twelve (12) inches nor shall <br />any such person permit any tree, plant, grass, or shrubbery <br />or part thereof to grow in an unsightly or untrimmed <br />condition." <br />The amended, and, as amended, read as follows: <br />"No owner or occupant or person having the charge or <br />management of any lot or parcel of land situated within <br />the City whether improved or unimproved, vacant or <br />occupied shall permit any lawn, noxious or poisonous <br />weed, or vines to exceed a height of eight (8) inches <br />1
