#1_=F. <br />CITY OF NORTH OI,MSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88 - 51 <br />By: Mayor Petrigac <br />AN ORDINANCE TO MMCE APPROPRIATIONS FOR CURRENT EXPENSES AND <br />OTI-IER EXPENDIT(JRES FOR THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR Tf-IE <br />YEAR ENDING DECIIMBER 31, 1988. <br />WHEREAS, the County of Guyahoga has agreed to reimburse cities within <br />Cuyahoga County for the purchase of Emergency 911 equipment which can be <br />used in conjuction with their systems, and <br />WHEREAS, such Emergency 911 eQuipment is desired by the City of North <br />Olmsted for use within the Police Department and Fire Departments. <br />NOW, 'IHEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY T'HE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF <br />CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the total available funds of the General Fund be increased <br />to Eig t Million 'Itivo Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars <br />($8,288,800). <br />SECTION 2: That to provide for current expenses and other expenditures of <br />said City o orth Olmsted during the year ending December 31, 1988, that the <br />following sums be and they are hereby set aside and appropriated as follows: <br />GENERAL FLTND <br />Police Department <br />911 System <br />Current <br />$24,000 <br />Increase <br />$18,600 <br />Revised <br />$42,600 <br />SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council shall irrmediately forward an attested <br />copy oT-tiFis 7rdinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 4: That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw his <br />warrants on the City Treasury for payments from any of the aforegoing appropriations <br />upon receiving proper certificates and vouchers therefore, approved by the <br />Board of Officers authorized by law to approve same, or an Ordinance or Resolution <br />of Council to make the expenditures; provided that no warrants shall be drawn <br />or paid for salaries or wages except to persons employed by authority of and in <br />accordance with law or ordinance. Provided further that the appronriation for <br />contingencies can only be expended upon approval of two-thirds of Council for <br />items of expense constituting a legal obligation against the City and for purposes <br />other than those covered by the other specific appropriations herein made. <br />SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force at the <br />earlies?t d t?e permitted by Article IV, Seciton 12, of the Charter of the City <br />of North Olmsted.
