_ u <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 8 8 - 4 9 <br />BY: Mayor Petrigac <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 161.06 OF Tf-iE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES OF 'I'I-E CITY OF NORTH OLD'1STED ENTITIED <br />"VEHICLE MILEAGE AL,LOWANCE" OF CHAPTER 161 <br />EN'I'I'I'LED "IIMPLOYEES GFNERALLY". <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has reviewed the mileage allowance <br />presently allowed for employees of the City driving their own vehicle, and <br />WHER.EAS, it has been cletermined that the existing rate of eighteen cents <br />(18?) per mile is not sufficient under economic conditions as they exist today, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to increase the amount to twenty-one <br />cents (21¢) per mile. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIiNED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 161.06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North 0lmsted entitled "VEHICLE MILEAGE AI,LOWANCE" of Chapter 161 entitled <br />"FMPLOYEES GFNF'RAT,T,y" which presently reads as follows : <br />11161.06 VEHICLE MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br />There is hereby established a transportation allowance for City employees <br />using their personal motor vehicles for official City business and that <br />the amount of reimbursement and the requirements to obtain reimbursement <br />for the use of personal automobiles shall be as follows: <br />(a) In order to be reimbursed for the use of personal motor <br />vehicles on official City business, such use shall be <br />authorized by the Mayor, in writing. <br />(b) The reimbursement for the use of personal motor vehicles on <br />official City business shall be at the rate of eighteen cents <br />(1W per mile." <br />Be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />11161.06 VEHICLE MILEAGE ALLOWANCE <br />There is hereby established a transportation allowance for City employees <br />using their personal motor vehicles for official City business and that <br />the amount of reimbursement and the requirements to obtain reimbursement <br />for the use of personal automobiles shall be as follows: <br />(a) In order to be reimbursed for the use of personal motor <br />vehicles on official City business, such use shall be <br />authorized by the Mayor, in writing. <br />(b) The reimbursement for the use of personal motor vehicles on <br />official City business shall be at the rate of twenty-orle <br />cents (2I?) per mile."
