CITY OF NORTH OIMSTID <br />ORDINANCE NO. 88-48 <br />BY: Councilman Ronald Wilamosky: <br />AN ORDINANCE TO M11KE APPRUPRIATIONS FOR CURRENT EXPENSES <br />AND OTHER FXPENDITCTRES FOR 'IHE CITY OF NORTH OIMSTID FOR <br />'IHE YEAR ENDING DF]CIIMBER 31, 1988. <br />WfEREA.S, the County of Cuyahoga has agreed to reimburse Cities within <br />Cuyahoga County for the purchase of teleqnetry radios which can be used in <br />conjunction with their systems, and <br />WHERF,AS, such telemetry radios are desired by the City of North 0]msted <br />for use in the Paramedic program. <br />N(xV, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NORTfi OINISTED, COtIN'I'Y OF <br />CCTYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the total available funds of the General Fund be <br />increased to Eight Million Tao Hundred Seventy Thousand Tao Huncired <br />Dollars ($8,270,200). <br />SE7CTION 2: That to provide for current expenses and other <br />expenditures of said City of North 0]msted during the year ending <br />December 31, 1988, that the following swms be and they are hereby set aside <br />and appropriated as follows; <br />GETtERAL F'tTND <br />Fire Departrnent: <br />Radios <br />Current Increase Revised <br />Amount Amount Amount <br />15,000 16,200 31,200 <br />SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council shall imrediately forward an <br />attested copy of this Ordinance to the Auditor of Czyahoga County. <br />SECTION 4: That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw <br />his warrants on the City Treasury for payments frcan any of the aforegoing <br />appropriations upon receiving proper certificates and vouchers therefore, <br />approved by the Board of Officers authorized by law to approve same, or an <br />Ordinance or Resolution of Council to make the expenditures; provided that <br />no warrants shall be drawn or paid for salaries or wages except to persons <br />employed by authority of and in accordance with law or ordinance. Provided <br />further, that the appropriation for contingencies can only be expended upon <br />approval of two-thirds vote of Council for items of expense constituting a <br />legal obligation against the City and for purposes other than those covered <br />by the other specific appropriations herein made.
