- ? . <br />CITY OF NORTH OIMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-43 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That it is the goal of this government to eliminate housing <br />discrimination and assure the rights of every citizen to buy, rent or sell <br />housing without regard to race, sex, religion, national origin or handicap, as <br />guaranteed by Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 as amended, and the <br />laws of the State of Ohio. <br />SECTION 2: That the City of North Olmsted will work cooperatively in <br />af irmatively furthering fair housing as called for by the Housing and <br />Community Development Act of 1974, and that every agency of this government <br />shall lend full support to the prosecution of any acts of racial intimidation, <br />harassment or violence, and to the affirmation of the civil rights of every <br />homeseeker and resident of this commtmity. <br />SECTION 3: That this,lordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immedite preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare of said City and for the further reason that it is now the month of <br />April, the time designated for this consideration; wherefore, this ordinance <br />sha.ll be in full force and effect from and immediately after its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: /,?'?J <br />s-T7- <br />? , <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
