<br />ARTICLE- XVII <br />LEGALITY <br />17.1 It is the intent of the City and the F.O.P. that <br />this Agreement comply in every respect with applicable legal <br />statutes and charter requirements. If it is determined that <br />any provisions of this Agreement-are in conflict with any <br />court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be <br />null and void and shall not affect the validity of the <br />remaining paragraphs of this Agreement. <br />17.2 Any past understanding, ordinance or resolution <br />which has been in effect shall remain in effect until such <br />time that it is modified by a subsequent agreement. Such <br />modification shall be completed by the procedures set up in <br />this Agreement for negotiations. <br />17.3 It is the intent of the parties that this <br />Agreement be interpreted as practicable as possible in <br />accordance with Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />ARTICLE XVIII <br />PER DIEM FOR SCHOOLING <br />18.1 Employees of the Police Department of the City of <br />North Olmsted shall be reimbursed, not to exceed Six Dollars <br />($6.00) per day, as per diem expenses while in attendance at <br />Police Training Schools within Cuyahoga County, when schools <br />are for a two (2) week period, with ten (10) days in class <br />attendance. <br />(29) <br />
