r <br />SCHEDULE A -SCOPE OF BASIC ENGINEERING SERVICES AND RELATED MATTERS <br />The basic services to be performed by Malcolm Pirnie under this Agreement are as follows: <br />1. Facilities Plan Update: <br />1.1 Review the existing Facilities Planning documents for the WWTP, including the Sewer System <br />Evaluation Survey prepared as part of the Facilities Planning process. <br />1.2 Update all key design pazameters for the WWTP, including permit limits, tributary populations, service <br />areas, existing flows, loadings and concentrations; project key design parameters for a 20 year WWTP <br />design period. <br />1.3 Analyze the existing WWTP equipment and facilities, including process equipment, electrical equipment, <br />support systems, instrumentation and control systems and building systems; and address known <br />equipment and facility deficiencies immediately. <br />1.4 Conduct an analysis of the capacity and performance of the existing WWTP using existing operating <br />records; identify performance deficiencies along with probable causes for the deficient performance; <br />recommend possible changes in operation, equipment upgrade or repair, or minor process modifications <br />to immediately improve existing WWTP performance. <br />1.5 Develop and analyze alternatives to provide additional treatment capacity, if necessary, and to address <br />performance deficiencies and needed upgrading of facilities, based on the information developed above. <br />1.6 Develop a recommended plan for facilities upgrade, including a schedule of implementation, which will <br />consider, as appropriate, the potential impact of currently proposed and anticipated future regulations. <br />1.7 Prepaze an updated basis of design for the WWTP incorporating the recommended plan and identifying <br />the key design pazameters, process sizing and necessary components. <br />1.8 Prepare ten (10) copies of the draft version and the final version of a Facilities Plan Update which will <br />include a summary of previous facilities planning, the analysis of the existing facilities, the analysis of <br />the existing WWTP performance, the analysis of the alternatives, the basis of design, and the <br />recommended plan and implementation schedule. <br />2. Time of Performance: <br />2.1 Prepaze the draft version of the Facilities Plan Update for submittal to the Ohio Environmental <br />Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) nine (9) months after notice to proceed. <br />2.2 Prepaze the final version of the Facilities Plan Update for submittal to the Ohio EPA two (2) months <br />after receipt of any Ohio EPA draft Faculties Plan Update review comments. <br />rrMr-ru.cA/swm <br />19x3-o1-1 A-1 <br />
