CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO 91-126 BY: Mayor Edward Boyle AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE POLICE DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. SECTION 1: That the Organizational Chart for the Police Division of the City of North Olmsted shall be as follows: A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Division and the personnel set forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Police, who shall be in charge of the entire Police Division. B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of all Non- uniform Personnel in accordance with the Ordinance establishing the same, by the Council of the City of North Olmsted. C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of General Duty Uniform Roster, which shall consist of: two (2) Captains, four (4) Lieutenants, five (5) Sergeants, between thirty-four (34) and forty-three (43) Patrolmen. D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau consisting of seven (7) of the Police Personnel mentioned in Section 1-C above. E. It is the desire of the Administration and of Council to in- crease the compliment of the Police Division from 39 to 43 Patrolman. F. The Police Division as constituted herein shall be classified by the Director of Public Safety, as required by law. SECTION 2: That all ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide a change in rank structure, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members .elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
