CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID <br />ORDINANCE N0. 91 - 122 <br />George Nashar on behalf of <br />BY: Mayor Ed Boyle and the entire Council <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTID TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH URS CONSULTANTS <br />TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR A WASTEWATER QUALITY STUDY ON <br />SELECTID METALS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant has been occasionally experiencing higher metal readings in its <br />effluent; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the engineering <br />firm of URS CONSULTANTS be hired to accomplish the <br />aforesaid project due to their expertise in this field; and <br />W~~REAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said <br />firm for and on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTID, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with URS CONSULTANTS for the <br />purpose of a wastewater quality study on selected metals. A copy of said <br />agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A: <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to proceed with the water quality study on <br />selected metals, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: C~~c~l /l/~/ <br />r <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~~~ ~ ~~ <br />B BARA L.
