CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 91-121 <br />BY: RONALD TALLON <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRr4ING THE ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION OF <br />SOLICITING QUOTES FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY, <br />LIABILITY, AND OTHER FORMS OF IIvTSURANCE TO PROTECT THE <br />INTEREST OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS,this Council previously appropriated funds to <br />provide for property, liability and other forms of insurance <br />to protect the interest of the City and, <br />WHEREAS,it is the desire of this Council to maintain the <br />aforesaid insurance coverage and encourage the <br />Administration to monitor insurance coverage levels. <br />WHEREAS,the Director of Personnel and Administrative <br />Services has already secured quotes on the aforesaid <br />insurance and has presented the insurance proposals to the <br />Board of Control and, <br />WHEREAS,the Board of Control has reviewed the proposals <br />and has determined that the proposal submitted by the Arthur <br />J. Gallagher and Company provides an adequate level of <br />insurance protection. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor is directed to enter into a <br />contract and purchase property, liability and other forms of <br />insurance to protect the interest of the City. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to <br />be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the <br />preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to <br />provide insurance protection of City assets, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED : ~~ ~ .~~+--~ ~ ~~ l ~ <br />-~~ , <br />ATTES~ <br />BA~ BARA L.
