CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91 - 108 <br />By: Ronald Tallon <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN AUTOMATID FUEL <br />MANAGEMENT AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM AT TFIE MTNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION <br />COMPLEX IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has mandated that leak <br />detection systems be installed for underground storage tanks in order to better <br />protect the environment, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has had plans and specifications prepared for <br />an automated fuel management system at the Municipal Administration Complex <br />in the City of North Olmsted and deems it appropriate for the safety and welfare of <br />the public to construct the aforesaid improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, having been advised of the recommendation of the <br />City Engineer is desirous of having the Director of Public Service advertise for <br />bids in accordance with the plans and specifications now in his office for the <br />purpose of an automated fuel management system at the Municipal Administration <br />Complex. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for the bids for an automated fuel management and leak <br />detection system at the Municipal Administration Complex in the City of North <br />Olmsted, all of which shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in <br />his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to take <br />corrective actions in order to insure the health, safety and welfare of the <br />residents, and further, provided that it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />i' <br /> <br />r <br />ATT T: / <br />Y <br />;Barbara L. <br />~ Seman Clerk of Council <br />__ <br />_ <br />APPROVED: ~ ~ ~~~ <br />C~ ~~ ' 1 ~~~~- <br />Edward J.`Bo`yle;~or <br />Girt' "~. wn~_- <br />"~~ James D.
