CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-105 <br />BY: MRS. BAHAS <br />A RESOLUTION AU'IIiORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE <br />SERVICES TO SEEK PROPOSALS FOR HOSPITALIZATION, MEDICAL-SURGICAL <br />INSURANCE COVERAGE AND BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OL~MSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has experienced an inordinate increase in <br />the cost of hospitalization insurance coverage for its employees, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain competitive prices for <br />said hospital insurance coverage, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain proposals for hospital <br />insurance coverage. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF Tf~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Personnel and Administrative Services be and <br />he is hereby authorized to obtain proposals for hospitalization, medical-surgical <br />insurance coverage and benefits for employees of the City of North Olmsted, <br />according to specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by <br />the Board of Control, the mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />~r~unediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare <br />and for the further reason that the present insurance coverage with the Farley <br />Corporation is nearing expiration, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members of council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : <~~ ~y~l <br />ATTEST: <br />,~,' <br />l; <br />B ARA L.
